The Locanda del Mulino small hotel, owned and run by the Pezzuoli family, was created in 2005 through the second stage in the renovation of an old mill, dating from the 17th Century, at Gorzano near Maranello. 

Just two kilometres from Maranello, it is strategically located for those visiting the area on business, since it is on one of the main highways of the ceramics district, the via Nuova Estense, which links the industrial foothill zone to the city of Modena.

At the same time, the position outside the town centre allows guests to enjoy all the peace and quite of the "rural": hotel; all the windows have views of the delightful countryside around the complex.

The same complex also houses the  Locanda del Mulino restaurant, managed by Walter.

Its Chef Iacono Calogero, in charge of the kitchen since the restaurant opened, has brought it fame for its sophisticated yet traditional menu, rich in local flavours.

The restaurant occupies a lovingly renovated old mill building and the still-functioning waterwheel can still be seen from the main room. The large windows offer a view of the garden, used during the summer months. The atmosphere is informal and the service courteous and efficient.
